From Le Louvre to the Eiffel Tower to the UNESCO world heritage site on the banks of the Seine there is an attraction for people from all over the world.
Not only is the City of Light popular for tourism, it is a global centre of fashion, finance and art. There is also a major attraction to the world class shopping in the boutiques along Avenue des Champs Elysées.
However, no trip to Paris is complete without at least a day at the magical Disneyland Paris.
Located 32 km east of Paris, Disneyland Paris is Europe’s most visited theme park with a staggering 14.8 million passing through its gates each year. With 2 theme parks, several themed hotels and a golf course over a large 19 km2 site there is plenty to keep the whole family occupied.
Disney had long sought a site in Europe to build a park and Paris saw off the challenge of 1200 other sites with its ability to access 68 million people by road in less than 4 hours.
The site has expanded immensely from its opening in 1992 and as the generation who visited in the early years come back with their own children, it’s popularity solidly remains.
