As many of our clients ask can I take my dog from UK to France? Yes you can by using T2 Transfer’s pet taxi service.
When thinking about travelling from Paris to London with dog it sounds very complicated and intense because you have to worry about various things, including your dogs documents, your journey and many other things.
Therefore, we will talk you through how our service works, so that you can use this to prepare yourself. Also, if it’s done carefully it’s actually very trouble-free.
After completing 3 simple steps and preparing all of the documents required, you will be ready to go on your journey.
T2 Transfer will complete the following steps on behalf of the client once they are provided with all the information necessary. Your journey will most likely be about 6 to 7 hours long depending on traffic levels on that specific day.
This time also includes stopping at the UK immigration and as many toilet stops required for your pet. Additionally, your price will depend on your final destination.
Before going onto the documents required and different steps, you should know that in order for your dog to travel, they have to get a few things done or they won’t be able to travel into the UK.
Firstly, your dog should be microchipped. Secondly, your dog must be vaccinated against rabies, this also means that your vet must provide proof that your pet’s at least 12 weeks old before providing them with the vaccine. Lastly, your dog should be treated against tapeworms too.
If all of that is already done, it would be a good idea to get your documents for your dog sorted to make sure you have everything.
This means that if you do not have at least one of the following documents, you can get it sorted before travelling into the UK. Ultimately your dog will only need one of these documents:
- An European union (EU) pet passport issued within the European Union (or in Great Britain (GB) if issued before 1 Jan 2021), or a pet passport from another Part 1 listed third country.
- The animal health certificate (AHC) issued in Great Britain used to travel to the European Union – that you’ll use to re-enter Great Britain for as long as 4 months after it was issued.
- A Great Britain pet health certificate (for travel into United Kingdom only)
Now that you have everything you need for your dog, we can move on to planning and preparing your actual journey, and from these 3 steps you will be able to go straight from Paris to London with dog without having to worry for your dogs safety.
